by the Worcester Research team over recent years.
ENERGY & UTILITY SKILLS

Worcester Research conducted an in-depth and final
evaluation of the "Up-skilling the Gas Industry - Workforce
Development in Tyne and Wear" on behalf of Energy & Utility
Skills. The evaluation involved both a quantitative analysis of
the programme's impact, as well as a series of interviews with
key stakeholder groups, including employers, trainees and
training providers in order to establish stakeholders' views on
the effectiveness of the programme. |

INVESTORS IN PEOPLE UK
|
Worcester Research have completed two rounds of
satisfaction surveys on behalf of Investors in People UK looking at employer satisfaction with IIP Profile. In
both surveys Worcester Research conducted two hundred 20 minute
interviews with employers to determine levels of satisfaction
with both the Profile product and the processes involved in its
usage. |

HEREFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
|
Herefordshire Council commissioned Worcester Research in
March 2010 to undertake a large-scale quantitative
survey of employers in their area. The survey of over
700 local businesses was conducted by telephone and
covered a wide range of issues including: economic
conditions; international trade; use and satisfaction
with business support services; sustainability and
transportation. The findings of the research have been
used to underpin the area’s new economic development
strategy. |

EAST BERKSHIRE COLLEGE
|
In May 2010 Worcester Research was commissioned by East
Berkshire College to produce a comprehensive Market
Intelligence Report. The report brought together a wide
range of data and intelligence on: local demography and
social issues; regional trends and priorities; current
learner patterns; local competitor analysis; business
development opportunities; and a SWOT & PEST analysis of
the College. |

REGIONAL ACTION WEST MIDLANDS
|
Skills Needs in the West Midlands Voluntary Sector – on
behalf of Regional Action West Midlands Worcester
Research has recently completed a survey of skills needs
across the West Midlands Voluntary sector. The work
involved the development and analysis of a web-based
survey of employer skills needs.
